A SERIES OF FREE CELEBRATIONS, FESTIVALS AND HAPPENINGS CREATED BY 26 YOUNG PEOPLE FROM ACROSS THE BOROUGH.

In the heart of Woolwich, General Gordon Square becomes a stage, a gathering place and a loud, bright yes to a creative future for everyone. Join the Ignite creative members as they present a manifesto. A call for action and a celebration of a creative borough, a live moment in the open air, shared in print, on screen and online.

The square will come alive with community performances and an interactive collective artwork that visitors help create on the day. Join us to create, to celebrate, and to Ignite! a brighter future for youth and for the collective.

AROUND THE WORLD FESTIVAL

Around the World Festival is a joyful day in the open air, where Greenwich’s cultures, flavours and sounds spill into one bright celebration. By day, families can wander through food stalls, music, storytelling and heritage zones, tasting, listening and discovering the rich mix of communities that make up the borough.

There are spaces for children, places to pause, and special access spaces for disabled and neurodiverse guests, so everyone can feel held by the day.

Weekend 19-20th July, 10-6 PM, Greenwich Park

BELONGING FESTIVAL

Belonging Festival is a weekend made for making, sharing and shining together. Set in a green outdoor space, it gathers artists, audiences and ideas around a custom-built art stage or sculpture that gives the whole event its heart and shape. In the months before the festival, artists are nurtured through mentorship, workshops and masterclasses, with room to experiment and grow.

Across the weekend, there will be warm conversations, Q&As and a free public showcase of new work — a celebration of emerging talent, community spirit and the magic of belonging.

HERITAGE EXHIBITION

The Heritage Exhibition will arrive later as a softer, reflective chapter in the story. It will bring archives, collections and young voices together, showing heritage as something living, something we inherit, reinterpret and pass on in new ways.

This will celebrate a digitalisation project where young residents of Greenwich have been invited to learn and work alongside Royal Greenwich Heritage Trust.
